Did you know that we are a fully certified and equipped STOTT Pilates studio in the area? This environment not only provides us with the ability to offer our clients a contemporary approach to traditional Pilates exercises but also with one of the safest and most effective pilates experiences out there.
Being a fully equipped STOTT Pilates studio takes more than simply buying the equipment and calling it a day. Using the STOTT method and equipment effectively within a studio takes a high level of training, experience, and dedication. Moreover, the STOTT Pilates method is more than simply equipment; it’s fitness regime for a lifetime.
One of the most innovative pieces of equipment STOTT developed was the reformer. Shawna, who is a certified STOTT Pilates instructor, has been successfully using the STOTT Pilates reformer with many of her clients since Knead to Balance’s doors opened.
Shawna has chosen to use the STOTT Pilates method and more specifically, the STOTT reformer in her studio because of the high caliber of training that goes into being able to use this equipment and its effectiveness. With this high caliber of training comes a deep understanding of anatomy, body movements, and using the equipment successfully. The reformer may look a little intimidating at first, however it gives an amazingly versatile workout! With the right instruction, you can engage just about every part of your body.
Exercises on the reformer can be completed while lying down, sitting, standing, pulling the straps, pushing, upside down, sideways, and endless amounts of other ways.
So what we’re saying is – you can do just about any Pilates exercise on the reformer.
With this kind of versatility, the reformer is an ideal way to tone, strengthen, increase flexibility, and improve one’s balance. This is likely the reason why so many of our clients choose classes that incorporate the STOTT reformer like our circuit classes, semi-private, or private classes.
If you haven’t tried out the reformer or STOTT Pilates method with our team yet, what are you waiting for?
